(NEW YORK) — RuPaul’s got a new TV show on the way.
The star of RuPaul’s Drag Race will be the subject of Queen, a forcoming dramedy on Hulu produced by J.J. Abrams, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Queen will tell the story of RuPaul’s rise from club kid to drag queen, gay icon and global star. RuPaul — born RuPaul Andre Charles — is co-executive producing the half-hour pilot, set in the 1980s during the Reagan era.
No word yet on when Queen will debut.
