(LOS ANGELES) — Kate Winslet and director James Cameron are setting sail together again.
The pair, who worked together on Titanic in 1997, will be joining forces on Cameron’s upcoming Avatar sequels.
Deadline reports that the actress has signed on for a starring role as a character named Ronal in the film series. Four Avatar sequels are scheduled, though it’s unknown how many of the movies Winslet will appear in.
“Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career,” Cameron tells Deadline. “I can’t wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life.”
Production began on the Avatar sequels last month. The sequels are slated to appear in December 2020, December 2021, December 2024 and December 2025.
Winslet will be seen this weekend in theaters in the adventure film The Mountain Between Us, opposite Idris Elba.
